Now I, Paul, make a personal appeal to you by the gentleness and graciousness of Christ — I who am humble among you in person but bold toward you when absent.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves.

Tell Daughter Zion, “Look, your King is coming to you, gentle, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.”

Now the Scripture passage he was reading was this: He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb is silent before its shearer, so He does not open His mouth.

And Isaiah says boldly: I was found by those who were not looking for Me; I revealed Myself to those who were not asking for Me.

Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.

Nevertheless, I have written to remind you more boldly on some points because of the grace given me by God

I came to you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!

What do you want? Should I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

For it is said, “His letters are weighty and powerful, but his physical presence is weak, and his public speaking is despicable.”

I beg you that when I am present I will not need to be bold with the confidence by which I plan to challenge certain people who think we are behaving in an unspiritual way.

Look at what is obvious. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself of this: Just as he belongs to Christ, so do we.

I say this to our shame: We have been weak. But in whatever anyone dares to boast — I am talking foolishly — I also dare:

If boasting is necessary, I will boast about my weaknesses.

I will boast about this person, but not about myself, except of my weaknesses.

Therefore, having such a hope, we use great boldness.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”

Working together with Him, we also appeal to you, “Don’t receive God’s grace in vain.”

I have great confidence in you; I have great pride in you. I am filled with encouragement; I am overcome with joy in all our afflictions.

you know that previously I preached the gospel to you because of a physical illness.

Take note! I, Paul, tell you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.

For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles —

Therefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received,

Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.

if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

This greeting is in my own hand — Paul. This is a sign in every letter; this is how I write.

I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it — not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self.

I appeal to you, instead, on the basis of love. I, Paul, as an elderly man and now also as a prisoner of Christ Jesus,

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of God’s word and the testimony about Jesus.
