Immediately after he was baptized, Jesus came out of the water. The heavens were opened, and he saw God's Spirit like a dove descending, landing on him.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, which is a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of advice and power, a Spirit of knowledge and awe of the Lord.

“Look,” he said, “I see heaven open, and the Son of Man standing at God's right hand.”

He is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not only come by water, but by water and blood. The Spirit gives evidence to confirm this, for the Spirit is the truth.
