Jesus went over to the coffin and touched it, and the pall-bearers stopped. Jesus said, “Young man, I tell you, get up.”

He stretched himself out on the boy three times, and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, please let this boy's life return to him!”

The Lord responded to Elijah's cry. The boy's life returned to him, and he lived!

I tell you the truth: The time is coming—in fact it's here already—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live!

As Scripture says, “I've made you the father of many nations.” For in the presence of God, Abraham trusted in the God who makes the dead alive and speaks into existence what didn't previously exist.

It's shameful even to speak about the things such people do secretly,
