The Day of Unleavened Bread arrived when the Passover animal had to be sacrificed.

In the first month you are to eat bread without yeast from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day.

Keep it until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the Israelites will slaughter the animals after sunset and before it gets dark.

Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, also called the Passover, was approaching.

He agreed, and began to look for an opportunity to hand over Jesus when a crowd would not be there.

Get rid of this old yeast so that you can be a new batch of dough to make bread without yeast. Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.
