My recommendation is that you call up the entire Israelite army from Dan to Beersheba—an army as numerous as the sand on the seashore! Once they've assembled, then you yourself lead them into battle!

So David told Joab, the army commander, “Go and count the Israelites from Dan to Beersheba, so I can have a total number.”

Ishbosheth didn't dare to say anything else to Abner because he was frightened of him.

Everyone in the whole of Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was a trustworthy prophet of the Lord.
