Do something, LORD! They have broken your Law.

‘I enjoy pleasing you. Your Law is in my heart.’ ”

The LORD always does right, and so he wanted his Law to be greatly praised.

Is this any way to show respect to your parents? You ignore God's commands in order to follow your own teaching.

Jesus answered, “For now this is how it should be, because we must do all that God wants us to do.” Then John agreed.

Don't suppose that I came to do away with the Law and the Prophets. I did not come to do away with them, but to give them their full meaning.

You must obey God's commands better than the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law obey them. If you don't, I promise you that you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.

I'll tell you what. He will come and kill those tenants and let someone else have his vineyard.” When the people heard this, they said, “This must never happen!”

But Christ makes the Law no longer necessary for those who become acceptable to God by faith.

And since there is knowledge and truth in God's Law, you think you can instruct fools and teach young people.

No, indeed! God tells the truth, even if everyone else is a liar. The Scriptures say about God, “Your words will be proved true, and in court you will win your case.”

But the answer is, “No.” Otherwise, how could God judge the world?

If Abraham and his descendants were given this promise because they had obeyed a law, then faith would mean nothing, and the promise would be worthless.

With my whole heart I agree with the Law of God.

Thank God! Jesus Christ will rescue me. So with my mind I serve the Law of God, although my selfish desires make me serve the law of sin.

He did this, so that we would do what the Law commands by obeying the Spirit instead of our own desires.

And when I am with people who are not ruled by the Law, I forget about the Law to win them. Of course, I never really forget about the law of God. In fact, I am ruled by the law of Christ.

It was the Law itself that killed me and freed me from its power, so that I could live for God. I have been nailed to the cross with Christ.

I don't turn my back on God's undeserved kindness. If we can be acceptable to God by obeying the Law, it was useless for Christ to die.
