Though I pray to be rescued from this torment, no whisper of justice answers me.

Your laws are so fair that I wake up and praise you in the middle of the night.

Think of my prayer as sweet-smelling incense, and think of my lifted hands as an evening sacrifice.

Do this because the king rescues the homeless when they cry out, and he helps everyone who is poor and in need.

In days filled with trouble, I search for you. And at night I tirelessly lift my hands in prayer, refusing comfort.

Each morning I pray to you, LORD.

It is wonderful each morning to tell about your love and at night to announce how faithful you are.

Even when I shouted and prayed for help, he refused to listen.

Daniel heard about the law, but when he returned home, he went upstairs and prayed in front of the window that faced Jerusalem. In the same way that he had always done, he knelt down in prayer three times a day, giving thanks to God.

The men then told the king, “That Jew named Daniel, who was brought here as a captive, refuses to obey you or the law that you ordered to be written. And he still prays to his god three times a day.”

Very early the next morning, Jesus got up and went to a place where he could be alone and pray.

Then he said goodbye to them and went up on the side of a mountain to pray.

He could see that the disciples were struggling hard, because they were rowing against the wind. Not long before morning, Jesus came towards them. He was walking on the water and was about to pass the boat.

One afternoon at about three o'clock, Cornelius had a vision. He saw an angel from God coming to him and calling him by name.

Cornelius answered: Four days ago at about three o'clock in the afternoon I was praying at home. Suddenly a man in bright clothes stood in front of me.

The next day about midday these men were coming near Joppa. Peter went up on the roof of the house to pray

The time of prayer was about three o'clock in the afternoon, and Peter and John were going into the temple.

Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God's people.

God had the power to save Jesus from death. And while Jesus was on earth, he begged God with loud crying and tears to save him. He truly worshipped God, and God listened to his prayers.
