When I told you my troubles, you answered my prayers. Now teach me your laws.

He answered, “LORD God All-Powerful, I've always done my best to obey you. But your people have broken their solemn promise to you. They have torn down your altars and killed all your prophets, except me. And now they are even trying to kill me!”

Show me your paths and teach me to follow;

Teach me to follow, LORD, and lead me on the right path because of my enemies.

So I confessed my sins and told them all to you. I said, “I'll tell the LORD each one of my sins.” Then you forgave me and took away my guilt.

I told you my sins, and I am sorry for them.

Teach me to follow you, and I will obey your truth. Always keep me faithful.

If you don't confess your sins, you will be a failure. But God will be merciful if you confess your sins and give them up.
