Then the LORD asked, “What do you think of my servant Job? No one on earth is like him—he is a truly good person, who respects me and refuses to do evil. And he hasn't changed, even though you persuaded me to destroy him for no reason.”

Liars accuse me of crimes I know nothing about.

I did them no harm, but they hid a net to trap me, and they dug a deep pit to catch and kill me.

You people may be strong and boast about your sins, but God can be trusted day after day.

Do not tell lies about others.

Don't spread harmful rumours or help a criminal by giving false evidence.

An honest witness tells the truth; a dishonest witness tells nothing but lies.

Dishonest witnesses and liars won't escape punishment.

Dishonest witnesses and liars will be destroyed.

If you tell lies in court, you are done for; only a reliable witness can do the job.

Telling lies about friends is like attacking them with clubs and swords and sharp arrows.

Do not steal or tell lies or cheat others.

That is why the Scriptures are true when they say, “People hated me for no reason.”

We are part of the same body. Stop lying and start telling each other the truth.

And stop lying to each other. You have given up your old way of life with its habits.

But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulphur. This is the second death.

But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshippers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong.
