If you obey God, you will have something to leave your grandchildren. If you don't obey God, those who live right will get what you leave.

Children who curse their parents will go to the land of darkness long before their time.

Don't try to get even. Trust the LORD, and he will help you.

Cheating to get rich is a foolish dream and no less than suicide.

Give up trying so hard to get rich.

God blesses his loyal people, but punishes all who want to get rich quick.

Don't be selfish and eager to get rich— you will end up worse off than you can imagine.

If you make money by charging high interest rates, you will lose it all to someone who cares for the poor.

But they will be mocked with these words: You're doomed! You stored up stolen goods and cheated others of what belonged to them.

The LORD All-Powerful has said, “I am sending this scroll into the house of everyone who is a robber or tells lies in my name, and it will remain there until every piece of wood and stone in that house crumbles.”

You had better take seriously the need to honour my name. Otherwise, when you give a blessing, I will turn it into a curse. In fact, I have already done this, because you haven't taken to heart your duties as priests.

People who want to be rich fall into all sorts of temptations and traps. They are caught by foolish and harmful desires that drag them down and destroy them.
