Then their descendants conquered the land. You helped them defeat the kings and nations and treat their enemies however they wished.

The LORD gave the Israelites the land he had promised their ancestors, and they captured it and settled in it.

The LORD promised to do many good things for Israel, and he kept his promise every time.

That same day the Israelites defeated the Canaanite King Jabin, and his army was no longer powerful enough to attack the Israelites.
