If one of your cattle or lambs has a leg that is longer or shorter than the others, you may offer it voluntarily, but not as part of a promise.
Moses had told the people what the LORD wanted them to do, and many of them decided to bring their gifts.
Don't offer an animal that is blind or injured or that has an infection or a skin disease.
As long as you live in this land, don't offer an animal with injured testicles.
But isn't it wrong to offer animals that are blind, crippled, or sick? Just try giving those animals to your governor. That certainly wouldn't please him or make him want to help you.
But if the animal is lame or blind or has something else wrong with it, you must not sacrifice it to the LORD your God.
If an ox or a sheep has something wrong with it, don't offer it as a sacrifice to the LORD your God—he will be disgusted!
