He had performed a lot of miracles among the people, but they were still not willing to have faith in him.

In the towns where Jesus had performed most of his miracles, the people refused to turn to God. So Jesus was upset with them and said:

So Abraham said, “If they won't pay attention to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even to someone who comes back from the dead.”

He came into his own world, but his own nation did not welcome him.

I know that you always answer my prayers. But I said this, so that the people here would believe that you sent me.”

Have faith in the light while it is with you, and you will be children of the light.” After Jesus had said these things, he left and went into hiding.

This happened so that what the prophet Isaiah had said would come true, “Lord, who has believed our message? And who has seen your mighty strength?”

I have done things that no one else has ever done. If they had not seen me do these things, they would not be guilty. But they did see me do these things, and they still hate me and my Father too.

This was Jesus' first miracle, and he did it in the village of Cana in Galilee. There Jesus showed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

A large crowd had seen him perform miracles to heal the sick, and those people went with him.
