and when he decided the path for rain and lightning,

God gathers moisture into the clouds and supplies us with rain.

He fills the sky with clouds and sends rain to the earth, so that the hills will be green with grass.

When your land was thirsty, you sent showers to refresh it.

The waters in the heavens roar at your command. You make clouds appear— you send the winds from your storehouse and make lightning flash in the rain.

Idols can't send rain, and showers don't fall by themselves. Only you control the rain, so we put our trust in you, the LORD our God.

You refuse to say, “Let's worship the LORD! He's the one who sends rain in spring and autumn and gives us a good harvest.”

Three months before harvest, I kept back the rain. Sometimes I would let it fall on one town or field but not on another, and pastures dried up.

But he showed that he was there by the good things he did. God sends rain from heaven and makes your crops grow. He gives food to you and makes your hearts glad.
