On the surface of the sea, God has drawn a boundary line between light and darkness.
As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat; winter and summer, day and night.
And columns supporting the sky tremble at his command.
From out of a storm, the LORD said to Job:
Where is the home of light, and where does darkness live?
Can you lead them home?
From where does lightning leap, or the east wind blow?
He scooped up the ocean and stored the water.
I was there when the LORD put the heavens in place and stretched the sky over the surface of the sea.
I was there when he set boundaries for the sea to make it obey him, and when he laid foundations to support the earth.
that you should worship me with fear and trembling? I'm the one who made the shore to hold back the ocean. Waves may crash on the beach, but they can come no further.
