Look at the evening sky! Who created the stars? Who gave them each a name? Who leads them like an army? The LORD is so powerful that none of the stars are ever missing.

God said, “I command lights to appear in the sky and to separate day from night and to show the time for seasons, special days, and years.

God made two powerful lights, the brighter one to rule the day and the other to rule the night. He also made the stars.

In the beginning, LORD, you laid the earth's foundation and created the heavens.

All things are your servants, and the laws you made are still in effect today.

I look to the hills! Where will I find help?

The heavens keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies declare what he has done.

Say to God, “Everything you do is fearsome, and your mighty power makes your enemies come crawling.

In The Book of the Lord you can search and find where it is written, “The LORD brought together all his creatures by the power of his Spirit. Not one is missing.”

I am the LORD God. I created the heavens like an open tent above. I made the earth and everything that grows on it. I am the source of life for all who live on this earth, so listen to what I say.

Israel, I am your LORD. I am your source of life, and I have rescued you. I created everything from the sky above to the earth below.

I created the world and covered it with people; I stretched out the sky and filled it with stars.

I create light and darkness, happiness and sorrow. I, the LORD, do all of this.

Israel, my chosen people, listen to me. I alone am the LORD, the first and the last.

With my own hand I created the earth and stretched out the sky. They obey my every command.

Look closely at the sky! Stare at the earth. The sky will vanish like smoke; the earth will wear out like clothes. Everyone on this earth will die like flies. But my victory will last; my saving power never ends.

I have made everything; that's how it all came to be. I, the LORD, have spoken. The people I treasure most are the humble— they depend only on me and tremble when I speak.

And when you see the sun or moon or stars, don't be tempted to bow down and worship them. The LORD put them there for all the other nations to worship.
