I hate your New Moon Festivals and all others as well. They are a heavy burden I am tired of carrying.

Today the enemy will camp at Nob and shake a threatening fist at Mount Zion in Jerusalem.

In the evening their attack is fierce, but by morning they are destroyed. This is what happens to those who raid and rob us.

The city will mourn and sit in the dust, emptied of its people.

The sword of the LORD is covered with blood from lambs and goats, together with fat from kidneys of rams. This is because the LORD will slaughter many people and make a sacrifice of them in the city of Bozrah and everywhere else in Edom.

Isaiah, these are difficult and disgraceful times. Our nation is like a woman too weak to give birth, when it's time for her baby to be born.

The Lord was like an enemy! He left Israel in ruins with its palaces and fortresses destroyed, and with everyone in Judah moaning and weeping.

So in my fierce anger, I will punish the Israelites for what they have done, and they will know that I am furious. I, the LORD, have spoken.

Ezekiel, son of man, I am going to hold a feast on Israel's mountains and offer sacrifices there. So invite all the birds and wild animals to come from every direction and eat the meat of sacrifices and drink the blood. The birds and animals
