You made us lower than the angels for a while. Yet you have crowned us with glory and honour.
You made us a little lower than you yourself, and you have crowned us with glory and honour.
You let us rule everything your hands have made. And you put all of it under our power—
But all who do right will be rewarded with glory, honour, and peace, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.
He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good in the hope of receiving glory, honour, and life that lasts for ever.
I pray that honour and glory will always be given to the only God, who lives for ever and is the invisible and eternal King! Amen.
What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels. Because of God's wonderful kindness, Jesus died for everyone. And now that Jesus has suffered and died, he is crowned with glory and honour!
