Our LORD, you will always rule, but nations will vanish from the earth.

They will all disappear and wear out like clothes. You change them, as you would a coat, but you last for ever.

The LORD rules on his throne, king of the flood for ever.

You have always been God— long before the birth of the mountains, even before you created the earth and the world.

Each star will disappear— the sky will roll up like a scroll. Everything in the sky will dry up and wilt like leaves on a vine or fruit on a tree.

Who makes these things happen? Who controls human events? I do! I am the LORD. I was there at the beginning; I will be there at the end.

I am the LORD All-Powerful, the first and the last, the one and only God. Israel, I have rescued you! I am your King.

The LORD God will help me and prove I am innocent. My accusers will wear out like moth-eaten clothes.

Look closely at the sky! Stare at the earth. The sky will vanish like smoke; the earth will wear out like clothes. Everyone on this earth will die like flies. But my victory will last; my saving power never ends.

They will be eaten away like a moth-eaten coat. But my victory will last; my saving power will never end.

I am creating new heavens and a new earth; everything of the past will be forgotten.

The words “once again” mean that these created things will some day be shaken and removed. Then what cannot be shaken will last.

When the Lord talks about a new agreement, he means that the first one is out of date. And anything that is old and useless will soon disappear.

The voice said, “Write in a book what you see. Then send it to the seven churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Smyrna: I am the first and the last. I died, but now I am alive! Listen to what I say.

I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was nowhere for them to go.

I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.
