The LORD said to Moses: The Egyptian king stubbornly refuses to change his mind and let the people go.

The LORD said to Moses: Go back to the king. I have made him and his officials stubborn, so that I could work these miracles.

but the LORD made the king so stubborn that he still refused to let the Israelites go.

But Sihon refused to let us go across his country, because the LORD made him stubborn and eager to fight us. The LORD told me, “I am going to help you defeat Sihon and take his land, so attack him!”

Make sure that you obey the one who speaks to you. The people did not escape, when they refused to obey the one who spoke to them at Mount Sinai. Do you think you can possibly escape, if you refuse to obey the one who speaks to you from heaven?

Don't be like the Egyptians and their king. They were stubborn, but when Israel's God had finished with them, they had to let Israel go.
