The LORD God came down in a cloud and stood beside Moses there on the mountain. God spoke his holy name, “the LORD”.

All Jerusalem should praise you, our LORD,

Mount Sinai was covered with smoke because the LORD had come down in a flaming fire. Smoke poured out of the mountain just like a furnace, and the whole mountain shook.

The LORD said to Moses, “I will come to you in a thick cloud and let the people hear me speak to you. Then they will always trust you.” Again Moses reported to the people what the LORD had told him.

Carefully obey everything the angel says, because I am giving him complete authority, and he won't tolerate rebellion.

While I am talking with you there, I will give them some of your authority, so they can share responsibility for my people. You will no longer have to care for them by yourself.

and the LORD spoke with him. Then the LORD took some authority from Moses and gave it to the seventy leaders. And when the LORD's Spirit took control of them, they started shouting like prophets. But they did it only this one time.

There the LORD appeared in a cloud and told Aaron and Miriam to come closer.

Show us your great power, LORD. You promised

Join with me in praising the wonderful name of the LORD our God.

Samuel told Eli everything. Then Eli said, “He is the LORD, and he will do what's right.”
