and they promised, “We will do everything the LORD has commanded.” So Moses told the LORD about this.

and said to Moses, “If you speak to us, we will listen. But don't let God speak to us, or we will die!”

Moses gave the LORD's instructions to the people, and they promised, “We will do everything the LORD has commanded!”

Then he read aloud the LORD's commands and promises, and the people shouted, “We will obey the LORD and do everything he has commanded!”

and everyone believed. They bowed down and worshipped the LORD because they knew that he had seen their suffering and was going to help them.

But the people shouted, “We won't worship any other gods. We will worship and obey only the LORD!”

The people said, “The LORD is our God, and we will worship and obey only him.”
