The wicked boast about their deepest desires. Those greedy people hate and curse you, LORD.

Finally, LORD, you were angry and terribly disgusted with your people.

You are not the kind of God who is pleased with evil. Sinners can't stay with you.

So God became furious and completely rejected the people of Israel.

You are now angry, God, and you have turned your back on your chosen king.

The LORD has said, “Listen, heaven and earth! The children I raised have turned against me.

Then the LORD told me to say to the people of Judah: You are my chosen people, but you have no right to be here in my temple, doing such terrible things. The sacrifices you offer me won't protect you from disaster, so stop celebrating.
