They have already stopped obeying me and have made themselves an idol in the shape of a young bull. They have bowed down to it, offered sacrifices, and said that it is the god who brought them out of Egypt.

Don't tremble with fear! Didn't I tell you long ago? Didn't you hear me? I alone am God— no one else is a mighty rock.

Idols are merely a joke, and when the time is right, they will be destroyed.

Even though food is offered to idols, we know that none of the idols in this world are alive. After all, there is only one God.

Those of you who survive will be scattered to every nation on earth, and you will have to worship stone and wood idols that never helped you or your ancestors.

You worshipped worthless idols, and made me jealous and angry! Now I will send a cruel and worthless nation to make you jealous and angry.

God's Spirit clearly says that in the last days many people will turn from their faith. They will be fooled by evil spirits and by teachings that come from demons.

The people who lived through these terrible troubles did not turn away from the idols they had made, and they did not stop worshipping demons. They kept on worshipping idols that were made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood. Not one of these idols could see, hear, or walk.

The Israelites worshipped other gods, and the gates of their towns were then attacked. But they had no shields or spears to fight with.
