Deuteronomy 1:34

You had made the LORD angry, and he said:

So God became furious and completely rejected the people of Israel.

In his anger, God told them, “You people will never enter my place of rest.”

Instead, I told them in the desert that I would not lead them into the beautiful, fertile land I had promised.

Now you people of Reuben and Gad are doing the same thing and making the LORD even angrier.

And who did God say would never enter his place of rest? Weren't they the ones that disobeyed him?
