Everybody stood up during the ceremony. The priests were in their assigned places, blowing their trumpets. And the Levites faced them, playing the musical instruments that David had made for them to use when they praised the LORD for his never-ending love.

while David and the crowd danced and sang praises to the LORD with all their might. They played music on small harps and other stringed instruments, and on tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

Praise the LORD because he is good to us, and his love never fails.

Jehoiada assigned the priests and Levites their duties at the temple, just as David had done. They were in charge of offering sacrifices to the LORD according to the Law of Moses, and they were responsible for leading the celebrations with singing.

Next, Hezekiah assigned the Levites to their places in the temple. He gave them cymbals, harps, and other stringed instruments, according to the instructions that the LORD had given King David and the two prophets, Gad and Nathan.

As soon as Hezekiah gave the signal for the sacrifices to be burnt on the altar, the musicians began singing praises to the LORD and playing their instruments,

When the crowd of people saw the fire and the LORD's glory, they knelt down and worshipped the LORD. They prayed: “The LORD is good, and his love never ends.”

Then the priests and Levites were assigned their duties in God's temple in Jerusalem, according to the instructions Moses had written.

We will celebrate and praise you, LORD! You are good to us, and your love never fails.

Shout praises to the LORD! He is good to us, and his love never fails.

You, LORD, will always treat me with kindness. Your love never fails. You have made us what we are. Don't give up on us now!

All who sing or dance will say, “I too am from Zion.”

My people, you will learn who I am and who is speaking because I am here.

You sing foolish songs to the music of harps, and you make up new tunes, just as David used to do.

Take along the sacred chest and make seven priests walk in front of it, carrying trumpets. But on the seventh day, march slowly around the town seven times while the priests blow their trumpets.
