Rehoboam went to Shechem where everyone was waiting to crown him king.

He made you work hard, but I'll make you work even harder. He punished you with whips, but I'll use whips with pieces of sharp metal!”

He asked, “What do you think I should say to these people who asked me to make their work easier?”

If you have good sense, you will learn all you can, but foolish talk will soon destroy you.

If you have good sense, you will act sensibly, but fools act like fools.

Only a stupid fool is never cautious— so be extra careful and stay out of trouble.

If you stop learning, you will forget what you already know.

No matter how much you know or what plans you make, you can't defeat the LORD.

Selfish people cause trouble, but you will live a full life if you trust the LORD.

Too much pride brings disgrace; humility leads to honour.
