Solomon's workers started building the temple during Ziv, the second month of the year. It had been four years since Solomon became king of Israel, and four hundred and eighty years since the people of Israel left Egypt.

So Solomon's workers finished building the temple.

The roof of the temple was made out of beams and cedar boards. The workers finished building the outside of the temple.

Solomon's palace took thirteen years to build.

But you must see that everything is done according to these plans. Be confident, and never be afraid of anything or get discouraged. The LORD my God will help you do everything needed to finish the temple, so it can be used for worshipping him.

It took twenty years for the LORD's temple and Solomon's palace to be built.

Everything Solomon had planned to do was now finished—from the laying of the temple's foundation to its completion.

They claimed to be servants of the God who rules heaven and earth. And they said they were rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago by one of Israel's greatest kings.

So the people of Israel finished making everything the LORD had told Moses to make.

When Moses saw that the people had done everything exactly as the LORD had commanded, he gave them his blessing.

Zerubbabel laid the foundation for the temple, and he will complete it. Then everyone will know that you were sent by me, the LORD All-Powerful.

The leaders replied, “It took forty-six years to build this temple. What makes you think you can rebuild it in three days?”
