The LORD God took a handful of soil and made a man. God breathed life into the man, and the man started breathing.

You will have to sweat to earn a living; you were made out of soil, and you will once again turn into soil.”

A child has been born for us. We have been given a son who will be our ruler. His names will be Wonderful Adviser and Mighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace.

As long as he is king, Israel will have peace, and Judah will be safe. The name of this king will be “The LORD Gives Justice”.

This very day in King David's home town a Saviour was born for you. He is Christ the Lord.

God's Son comes from heaven and is above all others. Everyone who comes from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks about earthly things. The one who comes from heaven is above all others.

And the bread that God gives is the one who came down from heaven to give life to the world.”

This is the same message that God gave to the people of Israel, when he sent Jesus Christ, the Lord of all, to offer peace to them.

The first man was named Adam, and the Scriptures tell us that he was a living person. But Jesus, who may be called the last Adam, is a life-giving spirit.

We see that the one with a spiritual body did not come first. He came after the one who had a physical body.

Our bodies are like tents that we live in here on earth. But when these tents are destroyed, we know that God will give each of us a place to live. These homes will not be buildings that someone has made, but they are in heaven and will last for ever.

Here is the great mystery of our religion: Christ came as a human. The Spirit proved that he pleased God, and he was seen by angels. Christ was preached to the nations. People in this world put their faith in him, and he was taken up to glory.
