So the king told his men to let Abram and Sarai take their possessions and leave.

King David moved into his new palace, and the LORD let his kingdom be at peace.

Not long before David died, he told Solomon:

Soon after David moved into his new palace, he said to Nathan the prophet, “Look around! I live in a palace made of cedar, but the sacred chest is kept in a tent.”

After everyone was there, David stood up and said: Listen to me, my people. I wanted to build a place where the sacred chest would be kept, so we could go there and worship the LORD our God. I have prepared all the supplies for building a temple,

then he placed his hands on Joshua and appointed him Israel's leader.

until he was taken up to heaven. But before he was taken up, he gave orders to the apostles he had chosen with the help of the Holy Spirit.

The LORD told Moses, “You will soon die, so bring Joshua to the sacred tent, and I will appoint him the leader of Israel.” Moses and Joshua went to the sacred tent,

The LORD told Joshua, “Be brave and strong! I will help you lead the people of Israel into the land that I have promised them.”

In the presence of God and Christ Jesus and their chosen angels, I order you to follow my instructions! Be fair with everyone, and don't have any favourites.

When Christ Jesus comes as king, he will be the judge of everyone, whether they are living or dead. So with God and Christ as witnesses, I command you
