WHEN KING David dwelt in his house and the Lord had given him rest from all his surrounding enemies,

Let this be the reward of my adversaries from the Lord, and of those who speak evil against my life.

I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

I LOVE You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength.

You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like potters' ware. [Rev. 12:5; 19:15.]

He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent). [Ps. 2:9.]

Though man is risen up to pursue you and to seek your life, yet the life of my lord shall be bound in the living bundle with the Lord your God. And the lives of your enemies–them shall He sling out as out of the center of a sling.

The battle went heavily against Saul, and the archers severely wounded him.
