Then Solomon sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established.

Therefore now let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You; for You, O Lord God, have spoken it, and with Your blessing let [his] house be blessed forever.

Go to King David and say, Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?

Even as I swore to you by the Lord, the God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead–even so will I certainly do this day.

Then you shall come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, for he shall be king in my stead; I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah.

Solomon sits on the royal throne.

So the king commanded Benaiah son of Jehoiada, who went out and struck down Shimei, and he died. And the kingdom was established in the hands of Solomon.

WHEN DAVID was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

SOLOMON SON of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and made him exceedingly great.

If your children will keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon your throne forever.
