Look at my right hand and see, for no one cares about me. I have no refuge— no one cares for my soul.


Listen to my cry, for I am brought very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.


But I have trusted in You, Adonai. I said: “You are my God.”


You have recorded my wanderings. You put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?


Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for in You my soul takes refuge. In the shadow of Your wings I take refuge, until destruction passes by.

The Name of Adonai is a strong tower. The righteous one runs into it and is set safely up high.


So by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.
