Adonai said to the satan, “Did you notice my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth—a blameless and upright man, who fears God and spurns evil.”


He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.


So Adonai spoke with Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the Tent.


“Amen, I tell you, among those born of women, none has arisen greater than John the Immerser. Yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.


Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, even more than a prophet.


When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. But when he came up to look, there came the voice of Adonai:


In this case, moreover, what is required of stewards is to be found trustworthy.


I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him.


So Moses the servant of Adonai died there in the land of Moab, as was from the mouth of Adonai.


But if I delay, I write so you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God—which is the community of the living God, a pillar and foundation of truth.


Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of Adonai that Adonai spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide saying:


“My servant Moses is dead. So now, arise, you and all these people, cross over this Jordan to the land that I am giving to them—to Bnei-Yisrael.
