And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away! It is better for you that one part of your body should be destroyed, than that your whole body go into Gehenna.


For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?


But I will show you whom you should fear. Fear the One who, after the killing, has authority to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear this One!


knowing our old man was crucified with Him so that the sinful body might be done away with, so we no longer serve sin.


For if you live according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Ruach you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.


Rather, I punish my body and bring it into submission, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.


Now those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.


Therefore, put to death what is earthly in you—sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed—for that is idolatry.
