And I’ll say to myself, ’O my soul, you have plenty of goods saved up for many years! So take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry.”’


So it is with the one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich in God.”


Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than birds!


“He was unwilling at the time. But afterward he said to himself, ‘Although I don’t fear God or respect people,


Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge is saying.


This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.


Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.”


Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”
