Then Adonai visited Sarah just as He had said, and Adonai did for Sarah just as He had spoken.

Very early, while it was still night, Yeshua got up, left, and went away to a place in the wilderness; and there He was praying.


And he said, “Yeshua, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”


Now there was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim, of the hill country of Ephraim—his name was Elkanah son of Jeroham son of Elihu son of Tohu son of Zuph, an Ephraimite.


So she made a vow and said, “Adonai-Tzva’ot, if You will indeed look upon the affliction of Your handmaid, remember me and not forget Your handmaid, but grant Your handmaid a son, then I will give him to Adonai all the days of his life and no razor will ever touch his head.”


Samuel then went to Ramah, while Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul.


So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. From that day on Ruach Adonai came mightily upon David. Then Samuel rose up and went to Ramah.


So David fled and escaped, went to Samuel at Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went and stayed at Naioth.


Then Elkanah went home to Ramah, while the boy served Adonai before Eli the kohen.


Then Samuel died, and all Israel gathered and lamented him, and buried him at his house in Ramah. David then arose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.


Then his return was to Ramah, because his home was there, and from there he would judge Israel. So he built an altar to Adonai there.


Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah,


They rose early, and at daybreak Samuel called to Saul on the roof saying, “Get up, so I may send you off.” So Saul got up, and both of them, he and Samuel, went outside.
