And Geḏalyahu swore to them and their men, and said to them, “Do not be afraid of the servants of the Kasdim. Dwell in the land and serve the sovereign of Baḇel, and let it be well with you.”


You shall eat the labour of your hands. Be blessed, and let it be well with you.

How she sits, The city once great with people! Like a widow she has become, One great among the nations! A princess among provinces has become a slave!


With our lives we bring in our bread, Because of the sword of the wilderness.
