And the rest of the acts of Yo’ash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought against Amatsyah sovereign of Yehuḏah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕl?


And it came to be, as he talked with him, that the sovereign said to him, “Have we appointed you counsellor to the sovereign? Stop! Why should they strike you?” Then the prophet stopped and said, “I know that Elohim has counselled to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”


But Amatsyahu did not listen, for it came from Elohim, in order to give them into the hand of their enemies, because they had sought the mighty ones of Eḏom.


And the border turned around from Ba‛alah westward to Mount Sĕ‛ir, and passed over to the side of Mount Ye‛arim on the north, that is Kesalon, and went down to Bĕyth Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah.


and Yiron, and Miḡdal Ěl, Ḥorĕm, and Bĕyth Anath, and Bĕyth Shemesh – nineteen cities with their villages.


and Ayin with its open land, and Yuttah with its open land, and Bĕyth Shemesh with its open land – nine cities from those two tribes.


But the sovereign of the children of Ammon did not listen to the words which Yiphtaḥ sent him.
