In all their distress He was distressed, and the Messenger of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His compassion He redeemed them, and He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.


The word that Yirmeyahu the prophet spoke to Baruḵ


‘You have said, “Woe to me now! For יהוה  has added grief to my pain. I have been wearied with my sighing, and I have found no rest.” ’


“And go, say to His taught ones, and Kĕ


who is comforting us in all our pressure, enabling us to comfort those who are in every pressure, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by Elohim.


But Elohim, who encourages the downcast, encouraged us by the coming of Titus,


For in what He had suffered, Himself being tried, He is able to help those who are tried.


For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.
