And the man of Elohim was wroth with him and said, “You should have smitten five or six times, then you would have smitten Aram till its utter destruction. But now you shall smite Aram only three times.”


And she went, and came to the man of Elohim at Mount Karmel. And it came to be, when the man of Elohim saw her at a distance, that he said to his servant Gĕ


But he said, “As יהוה  lives, before whom I stand, I do not accept it.” And he pressed on him to accept it, but he refused.


And he said, “Elohim do so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on him today.”


And the sovereign was speaking to Gĕ


And Elisha came to Dammeseq, and Ben-Haḏ


For the wrongdoer boasted of his cravings; And the greedy one cursed and despised יהוה.


“You do not covet your neighbour’s house, you do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever belongs to your neighbour.”


“You do not bring the Name of יהוה  your Elohim to naught, for יהוה  does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught.


The lazy one is wiser in his own eyes Than seven rendering advice.


“Hear this, O house of Yaʽ


“But your eyes and your heart are only upon your own greedy gain, and on shedding innocent blood, and on oppression and on doing violence.”


“Woe to him who is getting evil gain for his house, in order to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of evil!


“For this perfume could have been sold for much and given to the poor.”


And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”


“And the master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly, because the sons of this age are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.


And supper taking place, the devil having already put it into the heart of Yehuḏ


יהושע  answered them, “Have I not chosen you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”


And he kept back from the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the feet of the emissaries.


for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and went to Thessalonike, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.


For an overseer has to be unreprovable, as a managing one of Elohim, not self-pleasing, not wroth, not given to wine, no brawler, not greedy for filthy gain,


Shepherd the flock of Elohim which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but voluntarily, not out of greed for filthy gain, but eagerly,


“For as יהוה  lives, who saves Yisra’ĕ
