O daughter thou of Babylon, near to destruction; Bless'd shall he be that thee rewards, as thou to us hast done.


Lord, hear my pray'r, attend my suits; and in thy faithfulness Give thou an answer unto me, and in thy righteousness.


And of thy mercy slay my foes; let all destroyed be That do afflict my soul: for I a servant am to thee.


O Lord, instruct me in thy way, to me a leader be In a plain path, because of those that hatred bear to me.


O love the Lord, all ye his saints; because the Lord doth guard The faithful, and he plenteously proud doers doth reward.


Because of those mine enemies, Lord, in thy righteousness Do thou me lead; do thou thy way make straight before my face.

Thy former loving-kindnesses, O Lord, where be they now? Those which in truth and faithfulness to David sworn hast thou?


On them their own iniquity the Lord shall bring and lay, And cut them off in their own sin; our Lord God shall them slay.
