Jacob sent messengers before him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the country of Edom,


with all kinds of wealth. The princess is decked in her chamber with gold-woven robes;


“You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, in skilled work; you shall make it in the style of the ephod; of gold, of blue, purple, and crimson yarns, and of fine twisted linen you shall make it.


You shall make for them linen undergarments to cover their naked flesh; they shall reach from the hips to the thighs.


He has filled them with skill to do every kind of work done by an artisan or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue, purple, and crimson yarns and in fine linen or by a weaver—by any sort of skilled worker or designer.


Your navel is a rounded bowl; may it never lack mixed wine. Your belly is a heap of wheat, encircled with lilies.
