He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: And he shall see his face with joy: For he will render unto man his righteousness.

I called upon the LORD in distress: The LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.


In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry came before him, even into his ears.


And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.


He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.


Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, And make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.


behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.


They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.


Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.


and said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, And he heard me; Out of the belly of hell cried I, And thou heardest my voice.


When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: And my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.


For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.


And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.


And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.


And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.


What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.


How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.


speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;


Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;


Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.


and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.


and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
