And Jon´adab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.


And the young men that were brought up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou answer the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it somewhat lighter for us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.


Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.


He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach.


An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.


Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:


Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.


Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.


Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.


And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you; and unto you that hear shall more be given.


And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers.


that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;


But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.


Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.


If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God-speed:


I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
