For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.


Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.


God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.


Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.


thus saith thy Lord the Lord, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:


For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.


Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehosh´aphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.


Hear ye now what the Lord saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.


Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.
