But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.


I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.


Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.


And next to him was Jeho´hanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand.


And of Benjamin; Eli´ada a mighty man of valor, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.


Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.


For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.


Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.


My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the Lord.
