2 Timothy 1:9 - First Nations Version9 For he is the one who has made us whole and called us to walk a sacred path. He did not choose us because of any good thing we have done. He chose us in harmony with his own purpose and by the gift of his great kindness. This gift was given to us through Creator Sets Free (Jesus) the Chosen One before time began. The Holy Spirit filled the heart of Creator Sets Free (Jesus) with joy. “O Great Father, maker of the earth and sky,” he prayed, “you have hidden these things from the ones who are wise in their own eyes but have shown them to the humble of heart. Yes, my Father, it has made your heart glad to see this day come.”
The Chosen One has shared with us all that he has been given. This was Creator’s plan that he decided long ago to accomplish. A wise and powerful vision he saw within himself. Creator is working out all the details, fitting everything into his purpose, so that we, who are from the tribes of Wrestles with Creator (Israel), who have first put our hope in the Chosen One, will bring praise and honor to him.
But you who trust in Creator Sets Free (Jesus) are a chosen people. You are a family of chiefs who serve as holy men and women. You are a sacred nation, a people who belong to the Great Spirit alone. You are the ones who will show forth the beautiful ways of the one who called you out of darkness and brought you into his wondrous light.
“The wild beast, which you saw, once was and now is not, but will soon emerge from the dark and bottomless pit and meet with disaster. All who live on the land, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world, will be amazed when they see the wild beast that once was and now is not, but will soon emerge from the dark and bottomless pit.
