Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the city of David.


And they brought in the ark of the Lord and set it in its place, inside the tent that David had pitched for it. And David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.


He built twenty cubits of the rear of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls, and he built this within as an inner sanctuary, as the Most Holy Place.


I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge.”
