But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, "There are six days in which one should work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day."


Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"


And a certain centurion's servant, who was highly valued by him, was sick and about to die.


Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.


Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, seeing Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."


Now after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue leaders sent to them, saying, "Men and brothers, if there is by you a word of encouragement for the people, speak."


And it came to pass that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and dysentery, to whom Paul came in and prayed, and laying his hands on him, healed him.
